Gingerbread Christmas Card

I usually am good about getting a family picture, or at least one of the kids and sending Christmas cards. This year it just didn't happen. If I had gotten around to doing Christmas cards this picture is about what they probably would have looked like.

Merry Christmas, sorry you didn't get a card from us...there's always next year.

Jacob's Piano Recital

Jacob's piano recital was incredible! He played 3 songs and did a great job. The video is about two minutes long and you can see it by clicking on the link below :)

If anyone local is looking for a great piano teacher...

Do you think they like Mario Kart too much?

I found this on my floor. Upset that someone left trash on the floor I went looking for the culprits. Turns out Jeremy and Joshua deliberatly left their peels on the floor and were waiting to see who would slip on them. You have to give them points for style, it looks like one peel was laid out to look like the video game.

Zach and Cody

"Zach come on let's go downstairs. I'm coming Cody."
Anyone with kids that watch disney will understand. This twin thing has been going on for a long time, with Joshua and Jeremy. It was just today I realized where it came from.

The Best Little Garage Cleaner

Last weekend I found this cute kid cleaning out the garage with dad. He saw the goggles and asked Brandon to get them down for him so he could work.

He was on his hands and knees vacuuming up every leaf.

He even got under the shelves. There was not A LEAF LEFT when he was done, and he was not casually working, he was quick and on a mission to do a good job.

Good job Buddy!

Jacob at the 5 Browns

Jacob and I went to see the 5 Browns when they were in town. (5 siblings that play concert piano) I didn't think to take my camera out of my purse (not normal for me) when we were there, so I have a picture of him and the CD cover that they signed. It was a great concert and since then Jacob has been loving to play his fast pieces even faster, and really gets into with his head and arms like they did.
When I was taking his picture I kept saying, just one more, just one more, just to tease him. I love how his eyes get wider and his smile faker. These are the pictures I usually delete, but I can't, they make me laugh. You can almost hear him whining MOM through his gritted teeth.

Sense of Style

I went shopping by myself and came home with this shirt. I was walking out the door to bunko when I was asked if I was going to wear THAT shirt...so long story short he hates the shirt I liked it. Do I just have no sense of style? Here is the shirt I will put a poll on the side so you can vote. I am a big girl. I can handle the truth, but I'm still not completely convinced that it's such a bad shirt. Please help me out and give me the HONEST truth on the anonymous poll.

Aquarium

We went to the Aquarium last week and the kids liked it. It was pretty good for a local aquarium. Everyone loved touching the rays.

Jacob loved the sharks and took a bunch of pictures. I am partial to pictures with people in them so I picked this one for the post, we just balanced the camera and used the timer.

I love this picture of the family there are so many good smiles. Jeremy was mad that someone put bunny ears on him for the first picture so he did an intentional grumpy face on this one. I didn't realize it until we had left. I really want to photoshop a new smile for him, do you think that's ok, or would I be "changing history"?

Twins!

No, I am not making any kind of an announcement. I already have twins - 2 sets.
Aren't these two of the cutest kids ever? They now call themselves twins. Every night they try to wear the same PJs so they can match. Then they sit together in the front room chair (they call the twin chair) for scriptures, and giggle about how they are twins. They crack me up....well except for the part where they empty their PJ drawers every night looking for the same PJs. I just put them in one of those sweater holders so they can find matching pairs without contributing so much to the amount of laundry I do. Even then, those smiles are worth some extra laundry!

Looking for good news?

California voted to preserve marriage between a man and a women!

People believe in the institution of marriage," Frank Schubert, co-manager of the Yes on 8 campaign said after declaring victory early Wednesday. "It's one institution that crosses ethnic divides, that crosses partisan divides. ... People have stood up because they care about marriage and they care a great deal."

Snow!?

I was grinding wheat this morning and didn't click the flour bin in tight. When we opened the pantry door I said, "It looks like it snowed!" Joshua immediatly flopped on his back and started making a snow angel. My camera was on the counter so I had to have a picture.
We rode bikes in 70° weather this morning, and now snow! It was just this morning my mother-in-law was telling me how beautiful the snow is at her house. Snow or not, we have snow angels.

This is him wiping the dust off of all the cans in the pantry after. What a good little helper :)
